Wise Birds Director & Senior Consultant
Mo is the founder of Wise Birds Network. She has excellent international networks & and a comprehensive knowledge of the fashion and textiles industry and systems. In a 30 year career she worked with many iconic brands including The Body Shop, Levis, Chloe, Valentino & Benetton, before taking her industry knowledge into work with micro and artisan entrepreneurs. She understands fashion business needs, from sourcing and CSR to market access & creative strategy and loves connecting skills, talent and markets.. As an expert on sustainability and enterprise in fashion and textiles, she a policy advisor and an associate lecturer at Central St Martins. Mo holds a BA Fashion & Print from Martins School of Art & an MSc Social Anthropology.

Peter is Wise Birds Networks' financial magician. As Financial Director of London Graphic Centre for 24 years, Peter played a significant role in seeing the company grow from £8m to £24m from a single brand to 4 independent brands. He has a deep understanding of challenges and opportunities for creative entrepreneurs and SME's, with a wealth of knowledge that small businesses need - from taxation, to planning for acceleration or exit strategy. His vast experience with SME’s in the creative, retail & business services sectors informs a pragmatic approach to the finance needs of creative businesses, however small, with a clarity of communication that right-brainers appreciate. Working with the cross skill WBN Consultancy Constellations model, he has supported clients to develop convincing financial plans to secure funding and achieve merger or growth targets. Peter holds a BA (Econ), Accounting & Finance from The University of Manchester & ACA accreditation.
Claire has 25 yrs experience as as solicitor, specialising in employment law, data protection and governance advice. She provides data protection, HR & employment law support for WBN clients, alongside her considerable management experience. Prior to moving into consultancy with SME's her experience included having provided advice and training to boards of directors including NHS Trusts, a construction sector PLC and a federation of independent churches and she continues to work as consultant for various clients in the creative, business and charity sectors.

Joanne has worked in the arts & heritage sector for over 25 years as a manager, leader, consultant & coach. Originally trained as a fine artist, creativity is at the core her approach, never more so than when coaching & encouraging people to be brave & share thoughts & ideas. She works with creative entrepreneurs to develop leadership & personal goals in a strategic business framework. Alongside her work with Wise Birds clients, she is currently coaching with Welcome Trust, Agents of Creative Change at Battersea Arts Centre & Libertas Consultancy. Joanne holds an MBA, Business Administration, PG, Arts Administration & studied BA, Fine Art at Middlesex University.

Nazarin is a photographer, producer & digital content manager. Her work has been published widely, including in Conde Nast Publications (Brides Magazine, Tatler & Conde Nast Traveller)ID Magazine & The Sunday Times. She provides content for online fashion retailers from capture to online publication in a well established partnership with Digital Catwalk Ltd. In the past 12 months she has covered fashion weeks in New York, London, Paris, Milan, Madrid, Copenhagen, Seoul, Hong Kong, Sao Paulo & Moscow. Nazarin supports Wise Birds clients in the development of marketing & digital strategy, content creation & skills training. She holds a BA Fine Art from Central St Martins.

A highly respected fashion writer, stylist & industry analyst with an encyclopeadic contemporary fashion knowledge, Emma is UK Fashion Editor for the New York Observer & lectures in Fashion Communication, Branding & Marketing. She has contributed to publications including Cosmopolitan, The Face & Marie Claire & edited teenage publications Looks & Just Seventeen. She has written several books, most recently on British photographer Duffy, Schiaparelli & Chanel. She studied fashion at St Martins School of Art & History of Art at Bristol University

Anna supports Wise Birds clients in the development of Social and Online Communications within business planning. Her expertise is informed by a successful career in PR and marketing with extensive experience in a wide range of sectors (consumer and B2B) using both conventional and digital platforms. Anna's breath of sector experience means she is comfortable working in many environments from consumer health and charity and education campaigns, to fashion, lifestyle, retail and events.

A hands on educator, designer & practitioner, Jill’s work embraces a range of visual arts & skills including ceramics , furniture, installation & graphics. Trained in fashion & textiles at St. Martins School of Art, her design career includes co-founding the fashion brand La Palette and creating textile designs for fashion & interiors. Through her work in community & further education she has encouraged many young people to engage with creative pursuits, inspiring many to follow art & design careers. Jill's love of travel informs her ceramics & design practice. Her interest in the relationships between visual arts & society informs a deep knowledge of contemporary culture.

Alongside her work in mainstream fashion she created Africa Fashion Guide, one of the foremost international fora the apparel sector development across Africa, organising an annual conference & engaging extensively with the role of fashion with public & private sector initiatives in support of economic development across the continent.

Jo has 28 years of commercial insight and experience working with leading international retailers and brands within the fashion industry, for many years supporting business to business and sales as an agent. She now works as a coach and consultant, with a passion to share her knowledge to improve performance and increase productivity for small businesses, inspiring motivation and confidence, leadership, teamwork, the art of persuasion, problem solving and personality profiling. Jo’s persuasive energetic determination is infectious which helps motivate individuals and team members to not only improve performance but deliver results.
